Wind River / Engaging Hope

Steven and Stacy Bishop came to us in 2024 with a calling and vision to reach the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Seeing their burden for the people and their desire for mentoring and spiritual cover, we began a relationship with them. We are thankful to call them Partners in Ministry.

About Wind River: The Wind River Indian Reservation, home to the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribes, is nestled in central Wyoming, just two hours southeast of Grand Teton National Park. Life expectancy is 49 years old. 84 percent of women have experienced some form of violence. 75 percent of families on the reservation are affected by addiction. It is estimated that 1 to 3 percent are of Christian Faith. with many families facing challenges like food insecurity, addiction, unemployment, and brokenness.

Engaging Hope is the name God has given Steven and Stacy for their ministry. Their vision is to build relationships, to meet physical needs and address quality of life issues, and to empower people with the life changing hope, love, and peace that are found only through a relationship with Christ. Through acts of service such as charitable giving, meeting individual needs, hosting community events, and other methods, they seek to show individuals that their lives matter and to demonstrate the love and value God places on every person.

Steven says, “The support, encouragement, and mentorship we’ve received from Go-Mission have been a vital source of strength in answering the call that God has placed on our lives. We are deeply grateful to know that the Urban Harvest team is faithfully interceding for us and standing behind us. With their prayers, mentorship, and the leading of the Holy Spirit we are confident that God will guide us through every trial and strengthen us for the journey ahead.”
