There is a reason your church, Bible Study or home group is in the neighborhood it is in. God has placed it there, and it is every church's responsibility and privilege to reach its immediate neighborhood.

In the process of our work in the cities, we have found that the principles of empowerment and methods of strategic outreach that UHM employs are successful not just in the urban, inner city context, but in many contexts: urban, suburban, rural, and multi-cultural. It doesn't matter if the neighborhood is poor or affluent - the need for people to know Christ is the same!

Adopt-A-Block

Adopt-A-Block is just one way for you to leave the four walls of your church and go out where the people are. It works everywhere because it's founded on the basics of prayer, connection with the community, and building long-term relationships that lead to salvation and discipleship.
