Months before beginning Urban Harvest Ministries in 1994, we began recruiting prayer warriors -- people who would intercede and petition God for the strategic needs of this ministry.

Over and over again the power of prayer has been manifested. Notes, phone calls and e-mails have come at the exact time that a crisis was occurring or financial needs increased. Many times we have felt the prayers of godly people holding us up as we have ministered in areas of fear, despair, decadence, witchcraft and the strongholds of hell.

To say that prayer has been important to UHM is probably one of the greatest understatements we could make.

As the ministry and influence of UHM expands, the need for dedicated prayer warriors has never been greater. We are looking for people who will literally stand with us on the front lines of this ministry - not physically, but spiritually - as we invade dark territories to equip the urban church and to reach the urban poor.

These Prayerforce Leaders are people who will faithfully pray and who will share the needs of UHM with others -- family, friends, Sunday School classes, youth groups, co-workers, and anyone else God leads them to - rallying them to pray specifically for Urban Harvest Ministries and our nation's cities.

We communicate with our Prayerforce Leaders through regular e-mails and letters, updating you with testimonies of what God has done and informing you of urgent prayer needs not always listed in our newsletters.
