Empowering and Releasing

Fulfilling the vision of Urban Harvest Ministries and accomplishing the mission of The Harvest Center for long-term transformation in this community would be impossible without God raising up individuals from the community to reach out and bring change. Training and commissioning into ministry is a priority!

The Harvest Center began in 1994 with three people - Dr. Grassano, his wife Lidia, and his child. Today a staff and volunteer work force of more than two dozen adults and young adults have been empowered to lead the many outreach ministries that are touching this community with Christ's love and real answers!

God has raised up people from this community who were once in darkness and locked into cycles of abuse, neglect, anger and fear. Now they not only walk in freedom, peace, and joy on the road to their destinies, but they are also leading others toward freedom and destiny. Now a significant part of the hope for the future, they are a part of real change, living as godly leaders effecting change in the community around them. This is what is meant by empowering and releasing.
